A boredom curer comes in many shapes and sizes

"It was the best of times, it was the worse of times." When I read that Charles Dickens number in school I was thinking "Wtf is this geezer on about?" In 2020, I think I have the answer. (Funny how all of you thought I actually did much reading at school).

How many people have told you this: "We're living in such a confusing time?" People seek for answers. People seek predictions. People seek money, but perhaps what we should all be seeking for is ourselves. Yes, yes I know I sound like some millenial douche monkey you'd run into at a shitty coffee shop in Dalston but hear me out for a minute.

We are spending a shit ton of time posting on Instagram, exploring new innovations in coffee (which are apparently centuries old) exercising a lot and just trying to do the whole "New Year, New Me" craze, in April. You know what's weird? Midway through writing this, I stopped to post something on Instagram. A screenshot of my Zoom call with my cousins. How lame am I? Answer: VERY

I am writing to you folk now to suggest to me new ways of making this the worst time into the best time, and I truly believe self-growth is the only way I will achieve that. How does one grow you ask? Answer: Meditation and shit. I want to go beyond there and that's why I've decided to write this pseudo-blog. I refer to it as that because I am sure I won't get more than 15 followers, at my peak. Oh shit, I'm using Covid lingo again: ''peak''

Back to the point I am trying to make. Whether it's yoga, an online course or starting a blog, I think we all need to find a way to turn this shit show into an opportunity. Yes, yes I know another cliché but come on work with me people. I really truly believe that this is a time for us to find something that we're good at, and I don't mean Football Manager2020 or ''C.O.D'' but actually something we can put into practice once this is over.

During the many job interviews I've been on, I've always said that "Time and money are life's two vital commodities.'' Well right now we can't really think of money so I would like to tell everyone that we have been given the gift of time. Covid Fright-teen has given us ample time. Now let's use it wisely. I've decided how to use it: Chatting shit through prose. How will you?

Will you make this the best of times amidst the worst of times?
