SUPPORT NIGERIA'S RESPONSE
‘Support Nigeria’s Response’ is an initiative to raise funds towards fighting COVID in Nigeria. Established by Evolve, Nigeria – we have partnered with wellness instructors, motivational speakers and business coaches who are devoting their time and wisdom to inspire individuals in these unique circumstances. All our live virtual talks and classes are provided at no cost, by our humble speakers as their contribution towards this worthy cause. We have partnered with organisations that are aiding the frontline and vulnerable during these challenging times.
Nigeria’s COVID cases are rising and cities are already struggling to cope. The Economist in 2019 has ranked Lagos, the commercial capital of Nigeria at the bottom of the table when it comes to healthcare, infrastructure and stability. Besides the impact on the frontline, social distancing measures have put Lagos on lockdown since March 31st. As more than half of Nigeria’s population are living on less than a dollar a day, this has resulted in a substantial amount of people suffering from hunger and starvation. Despair and frustration have also caused the number of cases of domestic violence to increase multifold.
EVOLVE,NIGERIA
Evolve, Nigeria was established in 2018 to provide individuals with the tools and wisdom to grow personally and in the process give back to Nigeria and its people. Evolve regularly brings motivational speakers, business coaches and wellness instructors to Lagos from all across the globe. Through corporate workshops, personalised sessions and organised philanthropy - we are committed to helping individuals develop personally and professionally.
To date, Evolves have gone solely towards helping those in need including various charitable groups and NGOs in Nigeria. Our causes incorporate but are not limited to cancer research, education and tackling hunger and starvation. In these testing but eye-opening times, Yezmina, Maheer and I have set up the initiative - 'Support Nigeria's Response' to raise funds that will go directly towards fighting COVID-19.
On a personal note, I have so much appreciation for what Nigeria has done for me and my family and strongly believe we can only show our gratitude by giving back in whatever manner we can.

CHARITIES
SAI ROSA FOUNDATION
Sai Rosa is an Independent Registered Charity Organisation in Nigeria. The organisation's activities are conducted by a group of like-minded volunteers, who have lived in Nigeria for up to six decades, and want to give back to the community where they have spent most of their lives. The initial work for Sai Rosa Foundation was traditionally involved with mass feeding of the poor and needy.
WOMEN AT RISK INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (WARIF)
WARIF is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 by Dr. Kemi DaSilva-Ibru MD; MPH in response to the high incidence of sexual assault, rape and human trafficking occurring amongst young girls and women across Nigeria. The Foundation was established to raise awareness and address the prevalence of this problem through the “WARIF Approach”- a unique holistic method of tackling Gender Based Violence through the development and implementation of a series of initiatives, targeting both the intervention/treatment of these affected women, as well as providing preventive measures in education and community service to reduce the high incidence.
